A couple of thoughts on Ivanovic goal vs Norwich

(1) Mata’s assist was excellent. He wasn’t expecting the ball since both Torres and Ivanovic were in the way. Torres couldn’t reach and Ivanovic sort of ducked his head out of the way. He improvised with a scorpion-kick.

(2) Ivanovic hit that volley without even letting the ball touch the ground. Superb technique. If he hesitated and took a touch, the chance might have been gone.
